The electric fire pump set is a complete fire water supply system comprising an electric main pump, a jockey pump, a control cabinet, pressure monitoring devices, and piping accessories. It achieves automated operation and stable water supply through centralized control and pressure monitoring, making it suitable for warehouses, docks, airports, petrochemical facilities, power plants, marine vessels, and other fixed fire-fighting installations. The system utilizes the electric main fire pump for primary water supply, while the jockey pump—characterized by low flow and high head—compensates for pressure fluctuations within the fire piping network. When system pressure drops slightly, the jockey pump provides timely compensation; this prevents the main fire pump from starting frequently due to minor pressure variations, thereby maintaining the network’s normal operating pressure. The control cabinet serves as a critical component, providing centralized automatic control for both the main fire pump and the jockey pump; it includes protective features such as overload and overcurrent protection, making equipment management and operation more intuitive. Pressure gauges and sensors monitor the operating pressure of the piping network and pump set, providing data for automatic control and system commissioning, while also allowing operators to track the system’s status. Regarding equipment configuration, the electric main pump can be selected from various types—such as single-stage, end-suction, horizontal split-case (double-suction), multi-stage, or vertical in-line pumps—to meet specific project requirements. Impeller materials (e.g., cast iron, stainless steel, or bronze) can be chosen based on flow rate, head, and installation conditions, ensuring the product meets the parameters of diverse fire-fighting projects. This EJ series pump set offers flow rates ranging from approximately 14 to 2,700 GPM and heads from 12 to 80 meters; a wide range of specifications allows for optimal selection based on the fire system design. The pressure maintenance system can also be equipped with a pressure tank (common capacities include 25, 50, 75, and 100 liters) and pressure ratings of 0.6 MPa, 1.0 MPa, or 1.6 MPa (selected according to the pump head), ensuring a proper match between the pressure maintenance system and the main fire pump. The complete equipment package can integrate accessories such as check valves, gate valves, common suction and discharge headers, flexible joints, and flanges onto a shared baseplate, forming a unified fire water supply unit. This configuration minimizes on-site installation and piping work while facilitating transport, positioning, commissioning, and subsequent maintenance. During operation, pressure monitoring devices provide continuous system pressure data, allowing the control system to coordinate the main pump and the jockey pump based on preset parameters and specific fire-demand conditions. In the normal standby state, the jockey pump maintains pipeline network pressure; when a significant demand for fire water arises, the main fire pump delivers the required flow and pressure to meet the system’s needs. This design—featuring centralized control, pressure monitoring, and coordinated pump operation—results in an electric fire pump assembly that is compact, easy to control, flexible in configuration, and stable in pressure management. Suitable specifications can be selected based on factors such as building height, fire water demand, network resistance, and design pressure, providing reliable fire water delivery equipment for buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, and other fixed fire protection systems.
