The diesel-electric hybrid fire pump system utilizes a dual-power configuration combining an electric fire pump and a diesel-driven fire pump. It enables coordinated operation of the main and backup pumps based on the specific water supply requirements of the fire protection project, providing reliable fire-fighting water support for industrial plants, logistics warehouses, petrochemical facilities, ports, and large-scale buildings. The entire system features an integrated skid-mounted structure, consolidating the electric main pump, diesel backup pump, jockey pump, control cabinet, pressure monitoring devices, and associated piping onto a common base to form a complete fire water supply unit. Under normal power conditions, the electric fire pump handles the primary water supply duties, offering stable power output, convenient control, and simplified operational management. In the event of a power failure or when backup power is required, the diesel fire pump operates via an independent power system, thereby mitigating the impact of a single power source failure on the fire water supply. The diesel backup pump is equipped with a fuel system, cooling unit, battery, and dedicated control equipment to ensure reliable emergency starting and continuous operation. The system may also include a jockey pump to compensate for normal pressure losses in the fire piping network; this minimizes frequent cycling of the main fire pump caused by minor pressure fluctuations and maintains the network at an appropriate standby pressure. The integrated control cabinet manages and monitors the status of the main, backup, and jockey pumps; combined with pressure gauges, pressure sensors, check valves, gate valves, pressure tanks, and connecting piping, it enhances the convenience of equipment operation and maintenance. The skid-mounted layout reduces the need for scattered on-site installation, while the unified base facilitates transportation, lifting, positioning, and piping connections, while also providing adequate clearance for routine inspections and maintenance. Depending on project requirements, the system can utilize various pump configurations—such as end-suction pumps, horizontal split-case pumps, vertical multistage pumps, or vertical turbine pumps—and selects the optimal combination of power source and pump type based on water source conditions, piping network pressure, and design flow rates. According to product specifications, the dual-power fire pump system offers a flow rate range of 30–9,000 GPM, a head range of 3–20 bar, and pump port sizes configurable from 25 to 800 mm; specific performance parameters are determined based on the selected model and project design requirements. By combining electric and diesel power sources, the system addresses both standard water supply and backup power needs. It is suitable for fixed fire protection installations that demand continuous water supply, high equipment integration, and efficient operational management, providing flexible, complete equipment configurations for fire protection systems in buildings and industrial facilities of various scales.
